Billing Revolutionʼs unique “Single Click Checkout” allows mobile users to single click to purchase digital
and physical items globally across all mobile operating systems (Apple, Android, Symbian, RIM, WP7,
Bada, webOS). As both an alternative and complement to carrier based billing platforms, Billing
Revolutionʼs solution serves smart and feature phones and tablets and is payment agnostic supporting

Director, Risk Management
Location: Seattle, WA
Job Overview:
Billing Revolution is seeking an experienced Director to lead its Risk Management efforts. As the leader of the Risk Management function, you will design, build and manage innovative risk solutions to enable Billing Revolution's continued dramatic growth while mitigating exposure. These solutions will establish a foundation for profitable and sustainable business lines, and enhance trust dependent consumer and merchant experiences.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manages the design, implementation and operation of risk management and merchant underwriting processes associated with Billing Revolution's Payment Service Provider activities
- Sets roadmap and manages execution for key risk processes across merchant and consumer systems including sophisticated analytics, development and amendment of models and policies
- Assesses risk/return trade-offs, negotiates with a wide variety of constituencies, makes decisions on priorities for analytics and modeling work
- Serves as a point of escalation for issues identified relating to governance or portfolio behavior
- Meets with banks, card associations, payment processors and merchants to discuss business performance metrics, models, and governance effectiveness; and meets with internal constituencies concerning trends indicated by analysis of merchant portfolio
- Works to streamline and make more effective risk governance processes (e.g. merchant onboarding, new product approvals, changes to risk criteria, executive briefings, remedial actions)
- Crisis management…must react quickly to a changing environment, with both decisions and information
- Advise the executive leadership team on staffing, budget and technology needs for the group in a manner consistent with the strategy of the business
- Serve as the subject matter expert on governance as well as risk principles involving consumer and merchant risk
- Communicate key messages to a wide variety of constituencies with credibility
- Understands and advises executive leadership team on the relative magnitude of risk issues in the business
Qualifications:
- 6+ years experience in diversified risk management roles
- Must have strong working knowledge of Payment Service Provider / Master Merchant implementations and operations
- Deep knowledge of global payment systems and technologies as well as key trends in risk management, global payments and financial services markets
- Demonstrates a good understanding of principles and practices in fraud and risk management
- Proven strong decision maker with ability to prioritize complex organizational objectives and deliver credible, consumable, reliable results in a timely manner
- Strong, direct communication style
- Extremely efficient and effective with proven ability to develop processes from ground-up
- Proficient in developing risk management processes and requirements, including use cases that can be translated into technical specifications
- Strong domain knowledge in risk management technologies, systems, and processes
- Is an innovator and a quick learner. Strong problem-solving capabilities with ability to come up with new and innovative solutions for complex business problems and issues
- Extremely passionate about creating great internal and external user experiences
- Demonstrated track record of sound business judgment
- Must be current on sound risk principles in the industry, and must be able to think about how to adapt such principles to Billing Revolution's business

BA/BS required, MBA preferred
Manager, Fraud Prevention
